Men are going bald sooner

That HLC2020 blog recently udpated their post about whether or not men are going bald at an earlier age.

https://www.hairlosscure2020.com/are-me ... nerations/

There are now some studies backing this observation up, and some older ones I wasn't aware of, which the blog post links.

This is something I remember discussing with some other people back in 2016, when I first noticed my hairloss and got on the meds; at the time, even on HairLossTalk, it was seen largely as broscience and just anecdotal observations, but it's good to see this is actually being noted by the scientific community.

Something interesting is that college graduation photos from 1900 show basically no balding, or at least only mildly-so.

Image

Through my ancestry DNA results, I was able to find some pictures of my grandfathers that I had never seen before; like, I knew their names and everything, but not what they looked like. On both sides of my family, I have yet to find an ancestor who had the amount of hairloss I do at my age, or indeed much hairloss at all. My grandfather recently turned 70 and he is still Reagan-tier.

In my opinion, though I'm not sure what, there probably are environmental or nutritional factors that play into the increase in male pattern baldness among young people. Genetics alone seem insufficient.

In the most selfish way its a good thing if it happens to the next generation sooner.

Possible outcomes would be that bald and balding is normalized (more like how it is already in the UK). Alternatively it could prompt demand for a cure as more people need/want it. Last, it fuels demands for hair transplant (which may potentially improve standards).

I don't know how it is for you Irish folk, but its super common to see bald men in England. I've been lucky enough to travel half the world and we're the baldest country (at least in terms of shaving). Its not even a boast because its not a good thing to be follicle challenged. The respite would be that if you're gonna go bald then go bald with the rest of 'em.

I've lived in England for many years as well and still go back regularly, just because it's more normal doesn't mean it's at all normalised. Being bald or balding from a young age is definitely mocked and a disaster for dating (unless other characteristics are all top tier, but regardless it will bring you down a peg or two).

It's the same in Ireland (probablyy not as bad as England actually) but let's say somehow even if the majority of young guys were noticeably bald or balding, it would just make full heads even more appreciated, it would not make bald guys normalised, just that there would be more guys who's looks instantly put them in an uphill battle.

That would be a violation of the commandment given to us by Saint Donald Trump after he came down from Mount Norwood:

"Whatever you do in life, do not go bald".

For under 30's only?

I've not personally seen anyone mocked for hair loss in normal life - but I don't doubt it happens from time to time.

My facial hair grows red/brown and I've even had some people try and tease me for that and I just insult their flaws in return*

The standard of looks is determined by those of people around you. If more people go bald, then the aesthetic effect of going bald is lessened.

However, this may still be bad news if it's actually a true. It's not a good thing if environmental damages are changing the bodies of men. You can also safely assume that this will not be the only change.
PhD in Internalized Incelism.

I had a hair transplant operation with the clinic of Dr. Emrah Cinik in Istanbul, with 2750 grafts being mostly placed in the front. It was a success both for general aesthetics and general well-being, and I encourage others to do the same.

That was my line of reasoning. The more hair loss is normalized the less affect it has on people who have it.

The funny thing is that most of us who comment often are nw3 to nw1 with varying degrees of thinning. Most of us have been posting over 3 years and we've mostly all grown into our 30s. By being at our ages now we're now actually doing better than a large portion of our peers just by not being heavily balding.

i hate to equate correlation with causation, but more young men nowadays are turning to masturbation/porn and excessively ejaculating. This may spike DHT. High prolactin and high estrogen (which could possibly increase dht) also speed up male pattern baldness.

It is also said that semen is much like our life force, that it should be retained.

i am not a dr by the way

When HairLossTalk hired me to write articles for them, before Kevin flaked for some bizarre, unknown reason, one of the articles I wrote was about this subject.

Any of the studies I was able to find at the time about hairloss and fapping found that you'd have to be jerking off almost 24/7 in order for the elevation in DHT to have any real effect.

However, it is true that estrogen and its presence in foods like dairy and stuff is a real concern. So it could be something there.

How close to 24/7 are we talking here?

you lose many valuable nutrients and possibly peptides when you ejaculate.

i believe a solution would be rubbing the dispensed semen on ur scalp to reallocate all the lost nutrients to your follicles
