What Norwood are you now?
I'd say im a nw1.5 with crown thinning now. I used to be a 2.5-3 with crown thinning.

Im tolerating it well as far as I'm aware man. No loss of libido, sperm is pretty watery but not a big deal. 0.5mg has helped to maintain for 3.5 years now

I will discontinue use for a while when im trying to have kids but that is atleast a few years off

How were you able to disguise the transplant? Especially the back of your head?

How soon did you return to work afterwards? Your result is pretty good, and I hope to do something like that soon.
Not sure if you missed these questions, but can you provide input on them?

Sorry i must have missed these. I was back to work the monday after. I also keep the back and sides of my hair pretty short anyway so after 4-5 days i could get my head faded so it was almost imperceptible

As for the transplant area, i wore my hair down quiet often initially to disguise scarring. I had just started seeing my girlfriend around about this time too and the first time she was gonna invite me up to her room i had to make an excuse and say no as i couldn't have anyone touching my head yet(Friday of the week i had my hair transplant)

Thanks! I was worried i would have to grow out the back and sides of my head! I'll probably grow the top out and have a fringe kinda like yours, and keep the back faded/undercutted

edit: wait so how long did the scabs stay on your head? and also, did you just prevent your girlfriend from touching your hair for weeks? what if she ran her hands through them back then?

Was only sensitive for a week. Showered on the Saturday morning after Monday procedure and most scabs came on in shower then

Yes my grafts have continued to grow in. I think it was probably 80% grown in already in the last photo so not a big difference but it continues to grow longer and stronger

Anniversary of my transplant is on Wednesday(how the hell has it been a year already) so I was gonna post pics then

As promised here are some 1 year pics compared to pics from the day of procedure(last 8 pics)

It will also be the 4 year anniversary of my fight against this beginning. I started with minoxidil a few days after my 19th birthday, i will be 23 later this month and i my hair has improved since then and has been maintained. I am pretty sure i will lose my hair eventually, unless better treatments come out, but i have saved myself crucial years. I have attached pics from 4 years ago and from today to compare(first 2 pics)

Your hair looks good. If I were younger, I would definitely get a transplant.

I went the "high minoxidil" route, and trust me, Minoxidil will fail you. I went up as high as 30%.

The strange thing is, my hair grows much faster with Minoxidil.

Do they mix the 12.5% with hydrocortisone? Just curious what they put in there.

Right now I'm taking Dustasteride (0.5%). My crown has filled in, it's about as thick as my back is now.
