I actually have a stranged shaped head, and I didn't realize that a lot of transplant surgeons specialized in
non shaved hair transplants. I would never shave my head for a transplant, because even with a short buzz
cut, my weird head shape is visible.

Where is Dr. De Reyes. If you don't mind me asking, what was the price.

Finally, I have to ask the question a lot of guys here probably don't know (because their not in their late forties).

Will all the hair grow back. I'm close to fifty (2019 will be the year for me).

I really am concerned that at my age, the transplanted hair might not grow back. Am I just
being paranoid?
Sorry dude i just realised i never replied to you. De reys is based in Berlaar in Belgium. I paid 3000 euros

I want to instinctively eat that density, so it will consume me.

Especially under that lighting, I don't think it seems that harsh but your hair looks like it would withstand harsh lighting. Congrats.

Yeah man this hair transplant would make me legit fullhead if not for crown thinning. I wear concealer in it most days. Its right at the back so you cant see it in the picture

Thanks for the nice comment

Congrats on taking this step

I think De Reys is one of the few top surgeons who does non-shaven, right? I believe GoldenMane on HairLossTalk also had an unshaven hair line procedure with him also using what seemed like a small number of grafts for the area. I imagine the nonshaven should make the first few months post op way more bearable.
You are correct about that. GoldenMane did have an non shaved hair transplant.

He actually posted on here a couple of times.
Think happy thoughts.

Hi

Going to get a haircut tonight so I'll post then. Transplanted hair growing in quite 'kinky' as it grows out and its easier to see when it's a little shorter.

This is the one downside of my transplant, hoping this setlles down and transplant becomes straight like the rest of my hair in next few months

Here's my 8.5 month photos:

Still not perfect but its definitely getting there. Little bit concerned about the kinkiness but hoping this resolve itself as transplanted hair matures?

Anyone had any experience of this themselves?

It will straighten over time but you can't expect perfect results or close to it. 500 grafts is insufficient in each corner, especially when they were empty before and you have fine/medium hair. You probably need double that in each corner plus forelock reinforcement in order to do a push up or slick style. But combing it down like you did will work in most conditions.

Yeah I think it will improve a bit more till the 12 month mark, the hair usually becomes straighter and more natural. I follow your case with attention because I'm considering undergoing hair transplant with the same doctor myself and I'm around your age. So I hope you could post some more pictures when the result will be final (and great, I'm sure :)).

How were you able to disguise the transplant? Especially the back of your head?

How soon did you return to work afterwards? Your result is pretty good, and I hope to do something like that soon.

Wolf just Liked this quote with the message:

"Just saw your quoted msg so clicked. Yours must be very bad if you want to eat this. 3 likes for your courage"

Sorry @Johnt1997 I guess he thinks your hair is quite bad.

@Doc don't pretend you "just saw" my quoted message from a few days ago, you saw my post a few hours ago and changed your signature straight away.

It's unbelievable that you bald shame me, then don't reply and pretend to have not seen it, then not only indirectly and snidely change your signature to be about me, but Like a post I wrote with a message you thought nobody would really see, still bald shaming me with it.

I thought I was on Ignore anyway? How are you now seeing my messages?
