The Browns kicked the Jets' ass good. This shows that the Browns are a good team. So the Titans beat a good team. Since the Browns are a good but they had a poor showing against the Titans this proves that a good team can have an occasional poor showing once in a while. And of course this means that the Titans could be a good team that just happened to have a poor showing against the Colts.
The Browns kicked the Jets' ass, but it doesn't show that they're a good team (though they might be). The Jets are awful, and on their 3rd QB in only 2 games.

Daniel Jones will be starting week 3 for the New York Giants against the Bucks.
I'm rooting for the kid.

I don't know if it's fair to say that the Jets are "awful" since the Bills only beat the Jets by 1 point in a 13 to 12 clash.

ESPN has the Bills ranked 15th, NBC has the Bills ranked 14th, and CBS has the Bills ranked 10th.

So the Jets were able to keep the game tight against a solid middling team but the Browns blew the Jets out.

When the Bills played the Jets, the very talented Darnold was their QB. When the Browns played them, their QB for most of the game was a guy who had never played in the NFL before. It was literally his first game (and so ESPN now ranks the Jets 27 out of 32 teams, which is awful). They're now scrambling to sign someone else.

Me too... and the Giants were silly to give Manning a huge contract and then sit him after 2 games. Sitting him is probably the right decision, the contract wasn't. That said if Daniel Jones turns out to be great, all will be forgotten. There's some chance of it, he was phenomenal in the pre-season...

I will tell you this - if the Titans lose to the Jaguars I'm going to be saying, "Uh oh" because if they can't beat the Jaguars then it's doubtful that they can beat the Falcons. And if they lose to both the Jaguars and the Falcons they'll be at 1 & 3 out of the first 4 games. Lewan Taylor would come back at that point and Ben Jones could be healthy by then but the more early games a team loses the harder it is to win enough games to get to the playoffs. I'm waiting to see the outcome of the Jaguars & Titans game before I decide if it's time to start worrying.

Will Colin Kaepernick be a Jet by the end of the week?

That would be something. I would say, unlikely, especially due to the relationship between the owner of the Jets and T

I've been blaming the Titans' woes on the offensive line. I've been thinking that they aren't pass-blocking well enough.

QB Marcus Mariotta seems to be having trouble reading defenses and picking out the right receiver. Maybe it's because he's under too much pressure behind an offensive line that can't block incoming defenders or maybe it's because Marcus Mariotta has poor football IQ. I can't tell which one it is. If he plays poorly tomorrow night they should try Tannehill the following week. If Mariotta is playing really bad tomorrow night they should try Tannehill in the 4th quarter to see if he can move the team forward. Tannehill might surprise in a good way. He didn't fare well in Miami but he didn't have the offensive weapons that Tennessee has now.

I'm starting to lose confidence in Marcus Mariotta.

Tomorrow night is Thursday Night Football, boys!! (American time) and the Titans are 2.5 point favorites against the Jags .

Now, when I have a bet I usually try to pick the winning margin.
Example:

@Yettee @nameless @Rclark

What option should I put my hard earned Australian $10 on?

Disclaimer: 13 plus means the team has to win but 13 at least, or any score higher than that.

Dude. That is way too complicated for the simple American football fan. :D
Titans favored by 2.5 (actually I'm seeing 1.5 but whatever), what's your pick? Titans -2.5 or Jags +2.5? (or, pick another game...)

For my pick this week, I'll go with the Chiefs -6.5 vs. the Ravens.

As of now, you're 1-0 on the season, I'm 1-0, @nameless is 0-1, @Rclark is 0-0.

omg I don't know how to hotlink their names.

Here's some hot intelligence on the Jags-Titans game.

Lol, to hot link just click on to the "mention" option just above all the smiley  faces when posting.

Ummm, I will take the Titans to cover the spread (2.5) this week but I think Baltimore will get by the Chiefs with the +6.5 points.

noted.

You may well be right about Baltimore, +6.5 is a lot. The Chiefs are capable of blowing anyone out at home, so I figured its worth a shot. Go Chiefs.

It's Jaguars 14 to 0 and we aren't even out of the 1st quarter yet. Ugh!

Added in 51 minutes 34 seconds:
At the half Mariotta is 6 of 16 for 62 yard.

The Jaguars are ahead 14 to 0.

The Titans have a total of 114 yards.

I think it's time to start warming up Tanehill.

Tannahill is doing laps in the car park as we speak.
On another note: we should have tried to predict how many holding calls will be in this game.

It's getting hard to watch.
