Let’s talk Donald Trump

Post by Hairblues » 1 year ago

So let’s spice things up

What did the jacket mean?

I’m sure you all know. She went to the border to see the kids and wore this jacket only in transport (not to the kids)

Is fucking cheap Zara so I doubt it’s unintentional I have no idea her intentions but I have seen all sorts of crazy conspiracy (one was tying it to fascism slogan in history to a place she once lived, my eyes rolled out of my head)

So two plausible theories
1. She was making a coy vague statement to DC wanting to separate herself as much as she can (which is not much)
2. It was a F U to media coverage

Here is my thing, she’s not a stupid person.
Why make this kind of faux pas going to visit kids?
And let’s say it went over her head, she has people surrounding her who are totally aware this could read bad.

Anyway any thoughts? Theories?

Maybe she's saying that she doesn't care about what people are talking about her marriage,
or the press who always is discussing it.

I don't know, or maybe she's angry because she signed a prenuptial agreement, and she can't
get more money for sleeping with a old man in his seventies. Plus she also had a child with him.

She's probably freezing eggs for her next husband, or boyfriend at this point.

Donald made her sign a Prenuptial agreement, which protects his financial assets in case of
a divorce.

I don't think he is having affairs now, or if he is, he's definitely in the "Viagra phase" of his life.

Any topic like this (personality analysis of political figures) styx is always on point:

It's fairly long I guess but if you have an interest in the topic I think he provides accurate insight.

Anyway, see this time and time again from the Trump campaign where somehow he trolls and deflects when needed. We had Corey Lewandowski going "whomp whomp" shortly after in an attempt to quash the heart string pulling of the left.

Were both of these things distasteful? Well it's at least debatable but in Melania's case she was after all visiting these kids at that time, so it would make no sense to think she doesn't give a shit. For Lewandowski he wasn't mocking a child with down syndrome, he was mocking the attempt to make him look cold and heartless towards all migrant children by using specific tear jerking cases.

It's hard to know if either of these things even back fired as well. Maybe the Trump camp is happy to take a popularity point hit for a few weeks, there's been weirder PR strategies from other politicians such as Putin in the early 2000s.

When it comes to Trump and his family these days, it's always trolling in my opinion. And every single time, the media falls for it hook, line and sinker. And they think they're so smart and witty in the process, that they're the good guys for pointing out how much of an idiot/a monster/a balding loser Trump is.

The truth, much of this is calculated. He's just showing himself as he is and making mistakes, it doesn't matter, his popularity keeps growing. People apparently really relate to a politician who appears human and flawed, even if he often appears quite narcissistic in the process. In such position, narcissistic traits clearly become an asset.

It's also this disorder that pushes him to give it all he has to show that "he's the man", just to stick it up to his detractors. Of course, it's not his only motivation, but plays a big role in motivation to be a good president, and even more. And when it comes to charisma and humiliating his opponents, the guy is brutally efficient.

Here is the thing she’s got First Lady branding now

She could leave The Donald without a cent and be fine.

She can write books and manufacture stuff to sell on QVC

Although, people who love her I guess would hate her for leaving him so maybe that would damage her brand I don't know but the middle and the left would love her.

I think she’s too old to freeze eggs. Although she probably did this already in her 30s.

Well I think he’s an idiot:)

I also think the press is trolling and he plays it.

I don’t agree his popularity is growing like you say. I know more and more republicans who are unhappy with him

I take issue when people refer to his critics as ‘the left’
George will laura bush general Hayden—I can go on are not the left.

It just comes off as trying to discredit anyone who is a critic of his as some far off wackos and it’s really not true.

In USA very few people self identify or fit the mold as a ‘liberal’

It's been nearly two years now of the Trump presidency and things seem to be going smoothly, despite a few missteps.
If only Trump could implement some kind of effective border control policy. Though, I think this will prove too elusive considering many Presidents have tried and failed in this regard.
Damn congress!

Anyway I remember when Trump got elected and a lot of folks were salivating at the mouth predicting everything from the collapse of the U.S. stock market to a new World War.

I told them to calm down but they didn't want to listen.

I don’t know if anyone even pro trump would say smoothly
It’s been anything but smooth for him to implement his policies. I don’t like them but just actual executions have not been smooth. I also don’t think the out come is smooth either. For every pro is some con. So smooth is not really a great word to use to make your point.

This intrigued me, the press is trolling him?

But even CNN are finally reporting on Trump's rising popularity. The migrant issue was another character assassination gone wrong, and ended in a Democrat practically encouraging violence (or "harassment") and further party-in fighting. Now with mid-terms approaching mainstream media is pulling the final card, "he's doing well can we really let this happen?!". It's desperate.

Anyway opinion polls show him regularly around 45% approval rating most of this year, up from only 38% when the country had fucking voted him in! I think that speaks volumes alone. And keep in mind these are the same pollsters on the lower end of the mean average that had Clinton to win at a landslide, as high as 2/3rds of all American votes (meaning polling was and probably still is highly inaccurate and swayed against Trump).

He took a few percentage points hit after last week but his popularity is undoubtedly continuing to rise, so unless you know several million Republicans I don't think your mates are affecting very much.

I don’t know about the polls but people who I know voted for him (not the Trumpsters) but people who were like ‘meh let’s give it a try’ really dislike him more so now..so I don’t know. Also people who I knew never to be political, now seem to be more involved against him.(like soccer moms in suburbia I went to HS with)
*So it’s only my anecdotal opinion*

It’s very hard for me to understand other than;
1.taxes (most of my republicans friends went for him over this)
2.judges
3.immigration (for some it’s always a split issue in Republican Party for decades)
What the republicans are happy about.
I'm not talking ‘persona’ I mean policies.
His foreign policy so far is not conservative or republican.
It’s on paper almost extremely left leaning. (Anti nato, ani nafta, talking to leaders like Kim Jung Un, so much pro Russia rhetoric on camera)

So I’m confused by the Republican Party over this.
Is it JUST to get those judges and tax cuts? That’s what it looks like.
I know you guys are not US republicans I’m just thinking out loud as I write.

Oh what I mean by trolling him is it feels like on all the cable news (fox as well) it’s 24/7 coverage of HIM and very little else..and many seem to give opinion mixed in on both left and right. It’s TNN. I do think some are balanced and neutral. I do think some journalists try to stay impartial. I think for most part Maggie Haberman for example tries to report neutral (Trump has her on speed dial so I think this is part of why even though she’s a tough reporter on him, she is careful in her delivery in my opinion)
I actually suspect Trump is often a ‘source’ and a Leaker. He’s strategic with media and marketing that’s always been his strength (from back in 80s I can tell you guys a story but you would have to take my word because their is no evidence anymore so would be impossible to prove my recollection)
But I don’t think he’s a chess player he’s a poker player with policy. I don’t think he’s startegic or thoughtful on policy. He’s not someone who thinks long term pros vs cons. To be fair, Obama was opposite to a negative extrem. But if you look at someone like Regan(not a fan overall) he was very savvy on media also, but he was more strategic in how he executed policy. I didn’t agree with him at time about some stuff but he also faced a very far left Senate and or Congress (long time ago going by memory) but he made a great relationship with Tip O’Neil

I just think the USA does better when both sides move to middle and find common ground. Not everyone gets what they want but it’s better in a unification way that’s hard to explain because we have been lacking in it for so long (20 years). Something happened in 90s and it’s just continued to deteriorated since then. Like the Clinton special council, it was unheard of to do this over something sexual. I don't know where it originated but it’s sad less and less people are in the middle. I hope it changes but we will see. It may take 10 years.

I'm reminded of Vanessa Trump recently being angered that she couldn't share family pictures on Instagram. People were mad at her for being insensitive while families are being separated by her father in law.

I think that they genuinely don't care about social problems. They have money and privilege, so they're insulated. They don't want to hear about other people's suffering, and the way that White House policies will destroy lives. They want to be able to enjoy their glamorous lives, and to brag about it, and to be celebrated for it.

This is his popularity since he took office. Every state people are hating him more and more.

Here's a link: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/ho ... -by-state/

Now, I've already said I identify with the left.

That said, I'm not making this up. My girlfriend hates him, and watches Rachel Meadows daily.

As for me, I'm really tired of leftist/extreme news, which isn't really news. I use that word
loosely.

I question Trump's rising popularity too, but come on, linking to THAT site? You gotta question how they're polling if this was their 2016 election forecast.
