Forget what the critics say and just watch this movie.
Enjoy it for what it is:

I suspect it's much more than that, like most movies that touch people deeply.

People are raving about this movie but the critics seem to hate because it's not feminist enough or something, which is almost always a guarantee that it's great. When the opposite happens (like with Moonlight), you can be sure that the movie is a pile of pretentious crap.

Yes, I made a 180 compared to my previous position :p. I still haven't seen the movie though, but at least I'll see it with a much less negative prejudice, quite the contrary.
