How can people believe this bald Tom Cruise pic?

They changed his eye color, skin tone, facial proportions, stubble. Gave him temporal ridges and assumed that he'd have the ideal head shape. Plus if you look closely there's a hair line shadow above his forehead.
Even when I’m lying on my back I’m never backing down.

Yeah, what was the point of this?
He looks 10 years younger in the bald pic too, by the way.

His hand looks bigger because it's closer to the camera + he's a small dude in general.

Ohh. So it was Tom Cruise's idea to portray a bald guy.

It's funny how when fullheads or balding guys are looking for pictures to downplay the devastating effects of hair loss, they forego the pictures above and go straight to the photoshopped version of Tom Cruise with blue eyes, a perfectly round skull and even a subtle 5 o' clock shadow.

That or they use Vin Diesel's picture on the set of the first Fast and Furious:

Yep, it seems they need that hair line to make their point, plus the youth and slimness he was exhibiting at the time.

They're not going to use this picture:

Yeah Vin had hair back then, he shaved it to look more "racially ambigious" since Hollywood didn't wanna cast him as an ethnic guy.

It's odd - you're right about him looking younger, but I keep looking at the pics trying to pinpoint what exactly is making him look younger in the bald pic, and I have no idea. Usually more hair would yield a younger look, and the other usual indicators like skin quality/texture don't look too different in each pic. In fact, his skin appears more "grainy" in the bald pic and smoother in the real pic (and smoother skin = youth). Any ideas why he looks younger in the left pic? It's interesting. Could it literally just be the eye color? I noticed that when a friend of mine took a pic of me on Snapchat with those same cat's eyes, I too looked younger/better. Is it a second-level inference from the tattoo and/or earring?

He isn't really bald in the pic.. they added curves to his forehead/left temple (temporal ridges) that weren't there to make him look like less of a cueball, and then of course the 5 o'clock shadow that we already talked about. So his face is basically fully framed, thus gives the same halo effect as a buzzcut, which is juvenile looking. Dudes who buzz their head, given that they have a strong hair line, will look younger.
