Before i got my hair back (some of you have seen before pictures) i only talked about it with my aunt, brother(who was balding) and girlfriend. i was nw3-4and they would say oh nothing is wrong sweety you look good.

It got to the point every time i said it they would laugh and smile and say something like “Oh peyton” they said i obsess about it and needed to quit being insecure.

My only outlet was my brother. as a male loosing ur hair it sucks, but a woman will make it out to be that it isn’t as big of a deal. some (not all) won’t really take you serious because you are male. (at least i think)

If i could go back i would tell no body about my hair issues that i know in person.(especially a female) unless it’s a doctor, i wouldn’t talk much on it. The fellas on here are the best bet for advice in my opinion. they are one of the mains reason i did get my hair back
How did you get your hair back?

Take it from me (a woman) - most women would become borderline suicidal if it was they who were losing their hair. Like with everything else, you can't really picture yourself in someone's shoes before you've been there yourself, so you can't really blame them. I'm sure men with Norwood 1's are just as oblivious to the impact of hair loss as any woman.
At the end of the day, hair loss can be devastating to anyone. You never truly know how much hair matters until you start losing it, it will bring on panic mode for any sane person.
I know I can't really blame people for being ignorant because I was once there myself (before hair loss), but every time I hear some girl complaining about her bad haircut I wanna rip my remaining hair out and yell at the top of my lungs that she should praise the Lord for even having hair that will grow back!
If my hair would grow back I wouldn't hesitate to shave my head and "rock" a buzzcut until it grew back if that's what it took.
But I guess we as hair loss sufferers just have to accept that people who are not suffering from hair loss will never understand, and that even a botched haircut can feel like the end of the world to them...
