Frequency of hair washing

Post by rclark » 1 week ago

Currently I've been growing out my hair since September, from a buzz cut. Occasionally I get it styled,
so it is around twelve centimeters on top and ten centimeters on the sides (between four and five
inches).

My hair is similar to Bob Ross (my current avatar, except it's not as dense, and it's a little bit straighter).

I was told it is going to have to grow longer for it to flatten out.

Currently I wash it on the third day, but I am considering washing it every fourth day.

Just wondering, if anybody is in the same situation? How frequently do you wash your hair. Did
it eventually flatten out as it grew longer?

I use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, but I don't think it's making a difference.
Think happy thoughts.

I used to have long hair in my NW1 days. I used to shampoo it every 4 days or so. I never really used conditioner because as you pointed out, it didn't really make any difference. Just regular shampoo was good enough.

Lately I've been losing my hair around the vertex area, but not my hair line. Sometimes I wonder
if this is from high blood pressure, because I want to think the medication is protecting it, but it's
not. This also could be from a side effect that I am having from another medication.

I don't think this is from Androgens, because that usually causes my hair line to go north.
Think happy thoughts.
